I don't know why but every time I try to play this it freezes up on me no matter what computer I'm on. But from what I can tell the trees are lovely combined with your music choice. I don't quite grasp the falling spider man but maybe that's because it won't load properly.

haha thanks. it isn't a falling spider-man, it's just a falling dude. and i agree, it's not cohesive at all, don't try figuring out a deeper meaning. i'm going to come up with something the day of class. hopefully it won't sound idiotic :-P.

The environment was cool and I can imagine took forever to create but the camerawork needs some work to feel more immersed in the surroundings (even though it is a rather small environment. Perhaps you were trying not to show how small it actually was?). The firework/fairy lights were also a nice touch, but the falling man is kind of superfluous. I'd kill it if you don't have it contribute to the overall piece.

To be honest, I wasn't really thinking about anything thematic. We were given 4 weeks to make something that was good and was time-based. Since I had no idea how to use any time-based programs, I went with blender, a 3d modeling/animation program. She didn't teach us anything, so I had to basically learn it on my own. Also, I wanted to make an animation in Photoshop...hence the falling guy ;-P. I guess this work is essentially a study; it isn't meant to mean anything deep.
Were it to be a real piece, I'd probably kill the guy too. I'd also try to get better training than teaching myself ;-).
The trouble is coming up with something intellectual to say about it on Thursday...
