Impressionism

An oil painting I did in Chama on site during a hike. Somewhat of an attempt at impressionism, I've been reading a lot on impressionists and Monet. I was very inspired. And this concludes my posting for today. Nice to have a Wednesday off school :) Most of the things I posted are all from sketch books or done quickly. Everything eles is at school and too big to scan, but I think next time I'll update my large finished pieces. Also I left my photo binder at school and I have a ton of photos I would like to post, . . . ahhhh for another day. Enjoy!
Also a special thankyou to aaron for loaning me your computer and scanner which made it possible to post today.

This is so peaceful and skilled...I'll lapse into an admiring silence at the texture and technique.

Looks amazing. I love how it becomes totally abstract in the high-res size, but when I look at the scaled down version, everything comes together, and I can see the forest.
